Trach Sports Academy is pleased to announce an exciting partnership with Prairie Spirit School Division. This partnership offers student – athletes the opportunity to receive elite level athletic training during school hours while earning high school credits with high quality in person instruction. 

Prairie Spirit School Division teachers provide classroom instruction at the  Martensville Recreation Centre (MRC), allowing for more in class instruction time and cost savings for families on transportation to and from athletic facilities.

We have partnered with Twin City Softball to bring elite level skill training to our program.

NOTE: The program is contingent on minimum enrollment numbers.

Students must be enrolled in a school in Prairie Spirit School Division. (PRAIRIE SPIRIT REGISTRATION)

What is Included (These are all approximates)

  • 75 Athlete Development – 2 softball skill sessions per week 
  • 1x per week – Academic Class at the MRC with a Prairie Spirit School Teacher
  • 1x per week – P.E class at the MRC with a Prairie Spirit School Teacher

Daily Schedule

  • This group operates on Mondays and Wednesdays; on other days, students will attend their school for full days.
  • On academy days, students will be picked up at lunch hour and bussed from school to the Martensville Rec Centre where they will spend the remainder of the school day.  Students will then be bussed back to their own school by the end of school day where they can bus home as they normally would . 

Other Notes

  • Students must register themselves with the Prairie Spirit School Division in addition to registering for this program. Registering for this group does not enroll you in the school.
  • This Program is for anyone enrolled in a Prairie Spirit School, with Martensville as our host Community. Athletes do not need to be enrolled in the Martensville Schools
  • Prairie Spirit will provide busing to the MRC each afternoon from the following schools:
    o Martensville High School
    o Valley Manor Elementary School
    o Venture Heights Elementary School
    o Lake Vista Public School
    o École Warman Elementary School
    o Warman Community Middle School
    o Warman High School
  • Registration includes a Trach Academy shirt & shorts
  • Program runs through the entire school year. 
  • Student athletes must provide their own laptop

Athletes are not permitted to bring their sporting equipment on the Prairie Spirit bus that provides transportation from home to school. They are allowed to bring their equipment on the bus that provides transportation between athletic facilities and school.

  • Option 1 : Athletes must arrive at school with their equipment and will have a room to store it in  the morning.
  • Option 2 : Parents can drop off equipment at MRC anytime between 6a.m and 12noon.

 

Equipment After School Options

  • Option 1 : Athletes bring their equipment back to school, where parents will have to pick up at end of school day.
  • Option 2: Athletes can leave their equipment at the MRC at the end of the day in an “assigned room “. Parents will then need to have the athletes equipment picked up from the MRC no later than 6 p.m. A door code will be given for parents to access room. Trach Power Skating is not responsible for your equipment.
